Submit your Travel Story!

World Backpackers is always on the lookout for more travel stories. The concept is simple: You write, we publish. All submissions are much appreciated, and it really doesn't matter whether your tale is short or long, and whether you're an experienced writer or not.

The idea is to gather many travel stories of all kinds from places all over the world. The stories will be freely available on this website for all interested readers. In this way, World Backpackers serves as an online place where backpackers can find and exchange personal travel experiences.

To make this work, your help is needed. So if you've had a crazy, great, hilarious, horrific, inspiring, or other interesting experience abroad, then pick up your pen and get published!

How to send in your travel story

1. Address an email to: story @ worldbackpackers.net
2. Copy & paste your story in the email or attach it as a file (Word-document or plain text).
3. You may send along pictures of your trip; those will be published too.
4. Send the email, and your story will be published in Stories from the Road (within a few days).

Small print: guidelines, rules & requirements

• The travel story has to be your own work (i.e.: written by you, based on your own experiences).
• If you choose to include pictures, make sure these are yours (and not copyrighted elsewhere).
• You retain all copyrights on your work.
• By sending in your travel story, you give WorldBackpackers.net the right to publish it online.
• If necessary, minor editorial corrections will be made in your work before publication.
