We are going to arrive in bejing via the trans-mongolian and then travelling by land to india, with the exception that we will prob fly over Burma. If anyone can give us any idea of how long they think this should take, without rushing and missing too much, but also without spending TOO much money. We will obviously be doing the back-packer thing, but wouldn't want to spend more than 5 to 6 thousand euro! Any advice is greatly appreciated?????

DanielE Member	# Posted: 29 May 2007 16:44:48 Hi. I was pretty much planning the same trip except in reverse! I am planning for minimum 6 months, although I suspect that will not be long enough. I would say you're probably looking at a nine monther. If I can get that much time off work, that's how long I'll probably be taking for this. As for money, haven't really budgeted yet, but am looking at £5k for a six monther. Probably slightly extravagant - but I want to do lots of diving, which is quite expensive. Good luck! Dan
