catisfaction Member	# Posted: 14 May 2006 01:32:41 Hi there! I'm currently in the process of planning my summer; 60 days (start of July 06 until September 06) in Southeast Asia. I've bought my flight tickets, but thats about it really... I was wondering if anyone has any advice, particularly relating to which areas aren't safe (for a 20yr white couple) and anything on travelling in the area (ie between the places I want to visit - is it cheaper by air or boat? etc) Im flying to Bangkok and the places Im definitely going to visit include: Bangkok Surat Thani Kuala Lumpur Singapore and also, depending on which route we take: Kuching (Malaysia) KotaKinabalu (Malaysia) the Philippines (Manila and the Babuyan islands, and possibly Cebu) Hanoi (Vietnam) Laos / Sumatra (probably the south) Borneo Java I haven't travelled this area before, and to be honest, I don't know where to start with regards to planning a route.
