I am planning on studying abroad next fall. I am trying to decide whether to go to the University of Science and Technology in Hong Kong or to Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.

I am not worried about academics..they are both good schools. I am concerned about travel and culture. Has anyone traveled around both those places and know about the ease and quality of travel around those areas? Or which culture is more preferable for a 21 year old college student looking for a good time?

Hi:

I live in Hong kong, I am a Chinese native. From my point of view, i think living and studying in Hong Kong will be probably more convenient. I think the location of Hong Kong as a point close to lots of asian countires mean that you can reach to all different destinations from this central point, within short distance like China, Thailand, Taiwan and other south asian countires. Feel free to ask me any sort of questions , i am very happy to help as i Know how it feel to be exploring a new territory u know very little about, i talk from the memories of my own experience of living and studying aboard in a foreign western country.

Best Luck

If you're plannign to STUDY, the logical choice is here in Manila, Philippines where education is top-notch but very cheap! There are numerous world-class universities here. De La Salle Univerity and Ateneo de Manila Univeristy being the two top-of-mind schools for foreign students.

The standard language of instruction is ENGLISH. Not just the professors, but even the students, each and every one of them, can communicate in English. This is very vital because it will be very hard to learn if there's difficulty communicating.

And, as I mentioned, it's really CHEAP here. Not just the tuition fees, but also the necessities of a foreign student: lodging, food, transportation, etc. EVERYTHING is cheap.

That means you'll SAVE a lot of money, that you could either keep, or spend for PARTYING and SHOPPING. Manila is no stranger to grrreat nightlife and partying. It's also a bargain-hunters paradise.

Hope you find these information useful.

And by the way...
