We will be backpacking Europe for 6 weeks. Here is the list of places we want to go. We are just starting to research this and I was wondering if this is too much for 6 weeks?? We'll be flying out of Houston probably.
Dublin
London
Amsterdam
Berlin (stay with friend)
Dresden (stay with another friend)
Rome
Florence
Madrid
Thanks!

Hello Kristel,
I think these are a lot of places you want to visit in such a short time... Ofcourse, it all depends on how long you want to stay in a certain place, and how much you like to see.
Ryanair and Easyjet are 2 low cost (when you book some time upfront) airline companies in Europe. Maybe you should have a look on their website, chances are that they can bring you fast and cheap from one place to another.
My experiences with these cities:
- Dublin: 2-3 days is enaugh.
- London: 4 days
- Amsterdam: you see it in 2 days, but probably you'll stay longer 'cause it's a great city
- Berlin: minimum 3-4 days
- Dresden: never been
- Rome: minimum 4 days
- Florence: never been
- Madrid: 3 days
This is without resting and "being lazy" days... Just exploring the city, visiting stuff,...
Then you'll also need to take in account that you'll spend a lot of time just travelling from one place to another, so you can imagine that you're on a close schedule.
greets
Nicolas

thanks so much! That helps alot. I had kind of thought 2-3 days for Dublin was good but was unsure about some others. I'm thinking we'll at least cut London out of the plan. We can always do a different trip to just London sometime, for a week or so.
