We're wondering if anyone knows where would be a fun place for two girls in their early 20's to spend New Yr's Eve in the city? I read the Eiffel Tower and Champes-Elysees in a guidebook, but it made no specific references, so I didn't know what to make of that. We'd appreciate any suggestions! Thanks!

This is our first trip to Paris, although my friend and I spent Sept-Dec. in Rome two years ago. Although we have a few basic must-sees and are on a pretty tight budget, we're open to any imput.
