janie Member Canada	# Posted: 1 Jul 2005 20:32:34 Salerno has a lot to offer it has a great nightlife district and we found it less expensive than the bigger tourist cities in the area like Positano and Amalfi, plus was so central you can stay there for less and visit these places, and many other places too along the coast and it took us 20 min to get to Pompeii. We stayed at this B&B"My Salerno Apartment" The host spoke english and made us feel really welcome and gave us a little guide of nearby places where we could shop for groceries, reccommended restaurants, sites, and how to travel around the city. This was really helpful.
