I'm heading to Europe for two months, i've already paid for the tickets and got my backpack and sleeping bag. Its an open train ticket so i won't need to pay for any other travel while i'm out there...

However i'm really looking to do this the hard way - slumming it i guess, and having as much of an adventure as i can. And i've only got 1200 euros...

Do you think this is possible?!

Hi,

I think you can make it with 1200 euros, but you'll have to plan your trip carefully.
- You might consider taking a tent, as camping grounds are cheaper than hostels, and you can camp in the wild once and a while.
- Food in supermarkets is cheaper than restaurants.
- A lot of museums have free entrance on sundays
- On "couchsurfing" and "hospitality club" you can find free places to stay

greetings
Nicolas

I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list

Brilliant, thanks for that Nicolas! it's reassuring to have someone else thinking it's possible, and i've already looked into a one man tent which are pretty small to carry.

i'll get on to couchsurfing and hospitality club now for some free accom.

cheers again
Andy
