Hello!
Some friends and I are going to Brugges on August and stay there for only 5 days. We want to spend real quality time in there and wonder if is possible to visit London, Amsterdam, Paris and Cologne in such a short time besides enjoying Brugges. If so, how much does it cost a train ticket to each destination? (round ticket) How much money do we need for food? (the hotel is cover)
Any tip or advice is welcome and I'll really apreciate it.
By the way, I have US visa, do I need any other visa to visit these places?

Hi 'anonymous'
5 days for 5 cities? I guess in theory that itinerary is possibly, but it definitely sounds over-ambitious... you'd be spending more time in trains than in the cities!
US passport holders do not need a visa for the EU.

Hello, JaMez
Thanks for the advice, I guess you're totally right. Well, we would definitely stay in Brugges the first and last day of the trip. Is it possible to visit Amsterdam, London and Paris still? I've heard each city is about 3 hours away from Brugges and maybe if we take the first train and come back in the last one we could enjoy it a bit. What are your thoughts about it?

Yes each place is fairly close but you are also looking at 3 hours to Amsterdam then 5-6 to Paris. Its way too much. I would focus on 2 - 3 cities max so you can actually enjoy them. Also, you may want to look into Ryan Air. Its a cheap budget airline. Not sure if it flies out of Brugges but definitly Brussels. It might be fast then train but not sure.

hey
i'm from bruges and what the other people are saying here is quite true
taking a train from bruges to amsterdam will take you 4 to 5 hours , to paris over three hours so i wouldn't try to visit them all in a few days
take your time to travel , don't try to put all your trips into one or you'll just have to run from train to train to see a few cities for like two hours
by the way , i can recommend the 'bauhaus' international youth hostel in bruges , it's fun over there and loads of nice people
cheerz
