Last time I travelled to Singapore I got my
chance to use my Nokia 3220 to take and send
some pictures to my family, right there and
then at the airport. It was a fun thing to play with.

I got my wife and myself two free accounts from
www.MailByMobile.com. I got our regular e-mail
addressed "linked" up to these free accounts.
After I uploaded pictures from my cellphone to the
server, and typed in my mail message,
selected the uploaded pictures to be attached,
and then just sent it off. The stuff arrived at my
wife's e-mail at work soon, surely a nice surprise
for her to get to see where I was just minutes ago.
Actually she was also able to read the mail and
pictures on her WAP phone. Obviously the
service replicates the delivery to both places
for better coverage.

And my wife was able to write me back thru the
service, and I got to see her message from my
cellphone right out of the airport. Pretty cool!
I thought maybe I should share this with you
frequent travellers.

And next time perhaps I'll get a local SIM to
save myself more on the GPRS cost if I need
to stay more than a day with more pictures
to fire up.

BTW, any of you know of similar service
that's for free also? Would like to try different
ones.

Happy travelling!
