Basically, I got made redundant last Monday, so my partner and I have decided to go travelling. We want to go at the end of March for four months with a month in Thailand, 2 in Australia and 1 in New Zealand. After tickets, we have bought tickets we will have around 3.5-4k between us for the whole 4 months. I am due to be getting money every month due to commissions I am owed bt it will only be around £100-500 each month. We are planning to try and do some work and stay with friends and relatives for small parts of the trip.

I would just appreciate any advice people can give me.

You'll be fine mate, but you will need to keep it cheap and bear in mind it's much harder to find work while travelling than you would think. If possible I would suggest sorting out work before you go. I'm heading to Thailand in a month for a couple of months and I'm going to do the whole thing for around 900 pound. However Oz and New Zealand will cost the same as the UK if not more.

Regards,

Tim

It is good to stay with friends and relatives for saving a lot of money in accommodation. But you have to spend your money so wisely and carefully while travel that will prevent you from trouble. It is sure you cannot find job while travel. You have to save money that will be spent in four months.
