hail Member	# Posted: 3 Apr 2008 09:05:00 · Edited by: hail im backpacking from vancouver to toronto (canada..) in june. i bought a MEC 70 liter back pack so i can cary around camping gear and enough clothes/etc for a year (from toronto i may go to either greece/thailand/bali). ive just recently turned 18 , and im in desperate need of escaping the suburbs and returning to my city life in toronto, living at my friends houses. after working for 4-5 months 5 times a week or so as a barista i figure il have enough money for a good amount of time in thailand or greece (i can stay at my friends cottage there). and i have $30,000 in stocks, if i go broke, but thats for film school/college after my travels. got carried away there, anyways, on my way to toronto through the mountains and forest, then the prairies, il need a good tent, but i wanna be a cheapster and just buy the best 1/2 person tent for the lowest price. whats a good brand? any products you have have that you could recommend? any ideas on my trip? and unfortunately yes, it seems as if im doing this whole thing solo, but thats also apart of the thrill for me .
