Good Day Everyone,

I will be heading to Australia the end of october and just wanted a bit of advice as to how to pack a stove so that it will not look like a bomb. I have heard that they can be fairly picky when it comes to transporting those types of items. One thing I will do, of course, is leave the tank empty for obvious reasons. Also, any other tips on packing for customs or just packing in general would be much appreciated. If anyone has had trouble getting a stove, or knife etc. through customs, please share your experiences.
Thankyou

Most importantly, do not put your stove or knife in your carry-on luggage! But I assume you figured that out already.. :) Actually it isn't that difficult. Just put all 'dangerous' items in your big pack and check it in. For the stove, be sure to empty the tank and put in a few drops of mint oil as this neutralizes the smell of gasoline. Better safe than sorry... For the rest, with all their high tech equipment I'm sure customs will be pretty quick to figure out that your stove isn't a bomb ;)
