J9J Member ENGLAND	# Posted: 11 May 2009 14:50:41 Hi all, im a 21 year old girl and im planning an around the world trip for 2010 and have absolutely no idea what to take with me It will be really helpfull if you could give me a list of the essentials i need to bring, eg Tshirt x2, shorts x1 etc. Thanks a lot guys this website has really helped. xxx

iain Member United Kingdom (Great Britain)	# Posted: 12 May 2009 15:27:31 · Edited by: iain Depends what your going to carry janine, are you going to struggle from city to city hostel to hostel with a big 75 ltr backpack. or are you going to take the bare essentials. and wash what you wear regularly. personaly when i go im takeing a 45 litre backpack. where i'll be takeing 2 sets of cargo trousers. 3 pairs of boxers ( maybe thats a bit to much info) two sets of socks prefferably not holy. a shirt and two T-shirts. a comfertable set of walking shoes. swimming shorts. and a small set of toiliteries. thats just an example of what will be in my bag. you made a comment regarding lice in hostels so im guessing your not takeing a tent with you. so you'll have bundles of room. no doubt im off to thailand in january 2010 for 3 months. flying to bangkock then somehow getting my self to phuket where im staying for 3 months. then going travelling there on after that. i havent got one
Olivia Foster Member United Kingdom (Great Britain)	# Posted: 4 Sep 2009 09:24:19 I am also a first time traveller J9J and am wondering if I am going to end with a house on my back...I found general 'lists' found on the internet or in 'travellers bibles' really helped. My plan was the same as Iain's but with also flip flops, first aid kit and water bottle! Any more tips would be great?!
