I assume this response is too late, but the Berkey Sport is a good backup to have. It's lightweight and easy to carry. I wouldn't rely on it as my primary source because it takes some time to filter the water, but it works good.

matey...take a water filter...it is going to save you a truck load of cash. get a carbon filter thats super easy to use and some iodine drops..the combination is super safe and you can fill up most places.
The thing to remember is that even the most desolate places normally have pretty good water(everyone needs water right!)...so long as you sterilize it you will be sweet...

Filtered water is good to drink as it purifies all unnecessary contamination in water and make it so pure and hygienic to drink. It is easy to carry and saves a lot of penny for you.
