Looking to go Thailand / Australia - Anywhere really. This will be my first time backpacking. It would be good to meet up with people along the way even if it just for a few days/ weeks or whatever. Im also looking to do some backpacking once I graduate in April 2009 (so any time after that ...I'd hate to miss a Canadian summer for an AUS winter...but it is a possibility for sure) Australia is a definite must on my list. I feel like starting out with someone "familiar" would help start the trip off in the best way. Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can come together

I have been to both the places before but not backpacking. i have a fair idea of some good sights, if ur intrested in meetin up or what ever drop me a line and i would be more than glad to give u advice or meet up for a few weeks.

vinayak Member India	# Posted: 3 Dec 2008 12:06:18 Hi, Any one of you planning to visit Chiang Mai in Thailand for a short trip, do advise dates. I have been to Bangkok etc. twice but have not been to the Northern part. Vinayak I am not very happy with backpacking but a proper visit is welcome.
