Elna Bastiansen Member Norway	# Posted: 26 Sep 2005 22:46:02 My travel mate suddenly got accepted into a university, and backed out of our plans. So now I'm here, looking for someone new to go with! You perhaps? The original plan was to get on a plane to Bangkok, and travel by train, bus, ferry, etc. through Eastern Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, the east coast of China, and Japan. But I'm absolutely open for new ideas, and willing to make new plans. The only thing I'm really sure of is that I want to go to Asia. I've been working my way through the last few months to save up money, so I'll be ready to leave any time after November and January. I'm not sure that I will survive living at home and doing this job much longer than that. I'm basically want to get going as soon as possible! And I'm thinking about being away for about 3-4 months, but again; I'm flexible. And a bit about me.. My name is Elna, I am 18 years old, and I live on an island 20km south of Oslo (Norway ). I got my International Baccaleaureate Diploma in May, and since that I've been working as a maid in a hotel. I think of myself as being pretty independent, as I lived on my own for three years. I've also travelled a lot before. I've been through most of Europe, as well as some short trips to Asia, Africa and America. I speak Norwegian, English, and French if I have to. I've also tried to learn Japanese for a couple of years. So if you thought any of this sounded interesting, please reply or e-mail me at elna@bastiansen.no. I am leaving on 5th Feb 06 to go to India, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Oz for 6 months but am open to alternative locations in Asia.
