I am planning a trip from Montevideo, Uruguay to Cuzco, Peru sometime in April/May 2010 and only traveling by buses. My schedule is pretty flexible. I will be in South America until August 12 so anytime between April and August. I am thinking this trip will last for about a month or a month and a half. My plan is go to cut through Argentina, into Chile, up (and down) Chile, and finally into Peru. I enjoy hiking, trekking, roughing it, trying new things, dancing, socializing, etc. I have backpacked through western Europe by myself and I have been lived in Peru and Brasil for 3 months each.
