Hi all, I want to share my experience when I was in Bali. I and my girlfriend had a fantastic holiday in Bali, especially Ubud. We stayed at Puri Garden Hotel, Bar & Restaurant on pengosekan street, Ubud - Bali. You can see their website at www.purigarden-hotel.com or send email to their lovely manager at puri garden_2@yahoo.com.
This Hotel has a great services and friendly staffs. They treated us like family so I felt like home when stay at this hotel. Great place for relaxing with strong Balinese atmosphere and environment. It's only 45 minutes from the airport and easy walking distance to monkey forest, Arma museum, shops, galeries and Ubud Palace. It's just a great and beautiful place with lush tropical garden view, nice pool and rice field view at the back of the hotel.
They also have nice Bar & Restaurant.. The crispy duck, and other local cuisnies like nasi campur was really nice.. I love this place..
Does any one have ever had same experience like this ?? Even though I'm at home now, but I always remember this place, the great memories are so strong in my mind.. Will come back again next time..
Cheers - Erwanos

I have never been to Bali but heard great things. It is on my list for a couple of weeks stay after I tour South East Asia and before going on to Oz, NZ, Fiji and then South America. Can't wait.
What are your recomendations for sightseeing on Bali?

hallo erwan and mattman,
i'm cellebezian / sulawesian (one of the tribes in sulawesi/indonesia)
I am very pleased to read your experiences while in bali, bali is one of the most beautiful places in the world and people call Bali with the "island of the gods". Apart from Bali, in Indonesia still has a lot of interesting places to visit, of course with a very friendly the community that will welcome you like family. one of these places is the "island of Buton", more specifically, is "Wakatobi island". If there are royal amazing in the world. more than 90% of species of marine biota in the world are there. There you can dive to see coral reefs with a very beautiful and of course the fish is very beautiful.
Population in sulawesi very friendly and will help you for there, relax, especially Indonesia sulawesi society is a society that loves peace and you do not need to fear the threat of terrorists who had imaging Indonesia as a terrorist state in the international world. I hope you guys are interested to visit sulawesi and Indonesia. we will welcome you as our own brothers.
happy to share the experience with you.
sorry if the English language that I use is still a mess and do not fit the actual grammar rules

Bali is a nice place to see and visit. Although I have never been to Bali yet but you just made me feel to go and motivated me to explore the beautiful sights there.

Was the hotel expensive? am thinking of spending 2 weeks in Bali at the end of August - I'm backpacking so any tips on accommodation would be really helpful.
