Hi people,
I've just recently graduated (in London), and I want to travel by 2007. I really want to travel the world. I don't know where to start. Are there any interesting sites that I can use to get me started. Or if anyone has experience in travelling, i would love to hear your advice.
Thanks,
Ivy

Hello Ivy,
The very first step on going travelling around the globe is without a doubt to gather information. So read, read, read, until you can't read more. The Backpacking Information section on this website ( http://www.worldbackpackers.net/info/ ) is a good place to start your reading. There you'll find a broad introduction to living life on the road and the most important preparations before taking off, plus links to other useful websites. There are a select number of websites which are just packed with good & useful info on budget travel / backpacking; I can highly recommend these websites to everyone who's a bit of a newbie when it comes to travelling:
These are the most informative places on the web I've found so far. I hope this helps you on your way (literally! ;)).
James
P.S. Congrats on your graduation!

Thanks so much James, your advice has been really helpful. I have started reading lots of info, and I agree it has really helped. There's things I didn't know, and in a way has helped me to get started. Thanks again

Hi Priyesh - I am thinking of travelling via India but have no idea what to expect. Do you have any suggestions of where to stay, what not to miss etc. I think will probably be going to Mumbai, Delhi or both.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Ivy,
i have just spent a year travelling around, most of my time in asia. I really really recommend south east east asia- malaysia and singapore. Malaysia is one of the nicest countries I have ever been to with so many interesting places to visit at very reasonable prices. The best place I went to was sea gypsy village resort, pulau sibu. It was heaven...peaceful with back packing huts right on the beach. Have a look www.siburesort.com and go to the back packers page.
good luck with your travels
