To accomodate backpackers who'd like to use a blog for documenting their travels, I've initiated a new project: World Backpackers Blogs. World Backpackers Blogs makes it possible for anyone to get their own online journal at name.worldbackpackers.net. Like GetJealous, WB Blogs offers a diary, a photo album, an integrated mailing list, and visitors can leave messages. Differences are that WB Blogs hasn't incorporated a map that shows the travel route, but on the other hand there's no limit to the amount of pictures that can be uploaded (at GetJealous there's a limit of 30 photos, otherwise you have to upgrade to a paid account). The one thing that is for sure, is that the new blogging functionality will live as long as WorldBackpackers.net does. Some advantages over the old service are: immediate free registration and an interactive world map that displays your travel route and locations of your journal entries.
