Hi guys,

my name is Amy and I am 24 and living in Cardiff at the mo (though I will be moving in with my parents in York in a few months to save money for this huge journey I'm planning on embarking on!).

Hopefully me and my boyfriend will be travelling the world by train! If anyone has done this or looked into this (or generally has any pearls of wisdom) let me know!

The journey is still very much in the early stages of planning but I'm looking forward to spending the next year planning it.

Nice to meet you all,

Amy xxx

Hi!
II’m an Italian girl from Milan and I'm new on this forum!. I’m writing my graduation thesis on the backpacker tourism and I’m very interested to know your opinion about this way of travel!

It’s not important if your answers will be short or if you will reply only to one of them, I’m interested in your opinion!!

For example:

• -What do you like of travel like a backpacker/independent traveller?
• -Do you like to stay in the youth hostels? Would you have any more services?
• -What type of transport do you use during your travels?
• -Travel like a backpacker tourist is for you advantageous only on the economic side or are you interested in knowing other traveller and local people?
• -Which travel have you done as a backpacker tourist?
• -How old are you? Where do you live? What’s your name?

If you want to let your e-mail here we can keep in touch!
My e-mail: soniadipi@alice.it
soniadipi@hotmail.it

I’m waiting for a lot of answers!! Thank you!
Sonia

Greetings to all. My name is Undut, here such here an amusing name, someone spoke me that it is translated from any Azian language as "wind".. The truth can and not, but I am pleasant to be trusted in it... And I as a wind wander by the ground =). Likely I was born in boots.. I can not sit on one place =)

Hi Gemma

If you are planning on travelling by ferry around the Greek islands I would suggest weekdays are best.
If travelling Fridays or Sundays I would suggest booking in advance as many Greeks themselves travel to and from the islands from Piraeus.
The more popular islands will have a few ferries each day and the smaller islands may only have a couple each week. Be wise to check schedules in advance.

I hope you also enjoy our beautiful Scotland

Hi Guys,

two of my friends and I are travelling to Europe and heading to see family in Scotland.

going to Europe in August. First stop Greek Islands! We have heard different stories on whether its ok to book ferries and backpackers once there. We dont wanna be left stuck on some island sleeping on the beach. Has anyone been at this time?

Also wanted to know if anyone knows of any websites that will feature concerts on in Europe around the time were going!

Thanks

Gemma
