I'd like to make a trip in the spring to backpack across Ireland, from one coast to the other.
Has anyone done something similar to this?
Was finding spots to pitch a tent difficult? What about finding hostels?
Any in particular routes I should take?
Thanks so much!

Would u consider renting a campervan? A small 2 berth standard is the size of a small van, very compact and easy to drive, with a bed, cooking facilities and heating. This would solve all your problems trying to find spots to pitch your tent or located last minute hostels. Also means you have a ways and means of transporting yourself around the country.

It is a great adventure and fun to do backpacking across Ireland. Roaming from one coast to another is a thrilling experience. There are many cheap hostels and accommodation in Ireland to have an easy and comfortable stay.
